Capacity estimate, not a price quote: Standard’s published allowance is billable contacts × 12. Automations consume credits, non-subscribers count toward billing, and Omnisend can change the tier price as the billable audience changes. Values entered here are not stored.

The hidden capacity inputs

Campaign count alone is not the forecast.

01 / AUDIENCE

Count both statuses

Subscribers and non-subscribers currently determine the paid billing tier and Standard email allowance.

02 / FLOWS

Reserve automation volume

Welcome, browse, cart, checkout, post-purchase, and win-back messages consume email credits too.

03 / HEADROOM

Leave room for variance

Resends, seasonal peaks, new contacts, and trigger spikes can turn a precise 100% forecast into blocked sends.

The result measures email capacity only. It does not quote the contact-tier subscription price, determine permission to message a contact, or include SMS. For new subscriptions after May 4, 2026, Omnisend says SMS is available on Pro as an add-on rather than on Standard.

The calculation

Three numbers drive the signal.

01

Billable contacts

Marketing subscribers + non-subscribers in the account on the billing day.

02

Standard credits

Total billable contacts × 12 email credits for the billing cycle.

03

Planned demand

(Subscribers × full-list campaigns) + automation emails + all other email sends.

Before upgrading

Clean the model, not the consent history.

Start with Audience → Total billable contacts. Do not substitute the visible newsletter-subscriber count: Omnisend says non-subscribers can remain billable because they may receive eligible transactional and behavioral automations.

Use engagement and permission rules—not a blunt cost target—when suppressing or unsubscribing contacts. Preserve consent records and account for the future value of legitimate re-engagement.

If the forecast exceeds Standard, compare a lower sending cadence with Pro’s currently published unlimited-email model. Use Omnisend’s live pricing calculator for the current and next audience tier.

Capacity questions

How many emails does Omnisend Standard include?

Omnisend currently says Standard email credits equal total billable contacts multiplied by 12 for each billing cycle. For example, 3,000 billable contacts provide 36,000 email credits.

Which Omnisend contacts are billable?

The current documentation counts subscribers plus non-subscribers on the billing day. Unsubscribed contacts are excluded. A non-subscriber can still receive eligible transactional or behavioral automation messages.

What happens when Standard email credits run out?

Omnisend says additional campaigns cannot send and contacts triggering automations can be canceled from workflows until the billing cycle renews or the account upgrades.
